Poetry and Quiet Reflections
Eyes Open
It all begins with an idea.
You asked me to write a poem as I know it
So here I am writing in low lit
Lighting. It’s terrifying what I feel for you
But you just have no idea, no clue
How I can see things, how I see through
The deeper layers of things said
They show what runs through your head
I see shapes, patterns and colors in people
I don’t see them as much as I feel
Actions always spoke louder than words
Though, silence is how and when you learn
The truth of another person’s essence
How I long for unshakable presence
The kind that stays with eyes open
Eyes that understand this kind of poem
Once more, I’ll tell you what’s on my mind,
While we let time run out of time
When we drip the act, drop the roles
You embrace the truth of your soul
The you before you were ever born
The you after you’ve lost your form
That’s the you, I’ve been looking for

It all begins with an idea.
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.
Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
